An ECG is used to measure the rate and rhythm of the heart; the size and position of the heart chambers; the presence of any damage to the heart’s muscle cells or its conduction system; the effects of medications in the electrical activity of the heart; and to check the function of implanted pacemakers/Defibrillators.
A pulmonary function test - PFT, measures lung function, specifically the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is used for assessing pulmonary conditions such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis among others.
It is a portable device for continuous monitoring of the electrical activity of the heart for 24 hours or more. Its extended recording period is useful for detecting abnormal heart beats/cardiac arrhythmias which would be difficult to identify on a single electrocardiogram.

An ambulatory procedure that involves the removal of an entire skin lesion or a piece of skin under local anesthesia. It is then examined by a pathologist in the laboratory to help us determine the cause/etiology of the skin lesion. There are several types of skin biopsies: Excisional, shave and punch.
An ambulatory procedure done under local anesthesia to remove benign or malignant skin lesions using either a scalpel or electrocautery. Also, liquid nitrogen (CRYOTHERAPY) can be used without the need for local anesthesia.
